I work in several different mediums, knit and crochet, resin, acrylic paints and beading. I am a M.O.M. (Manager of Mayhem). I'm also the proud grandmother to six. I am a rapid cycling manic depressive and after years of therapy, more drugs than I could shake a stick at and side effects that still affect me today, I found that creating things, whether it be beading, knitting, crocheting, or findin
g new purpose for old things, is the best therapy, more fulfilling, and at the end, I have something tangible that I will hope give joy to someone else. I am also passionate about keeping the history of the needle arts alive. Thinking about our foremothers and fathers sitting before a fire with nothing but yarn, a hook or needles, and then making something so beautiful, functional, and loving is incredible. Every time I see a piece of lace or make a piece, I'm simply amazed that it was just some yarn and a hook. We definitely need to keep this art form alive. There is just something that a handmade piece can say. It tells the person you are giving it to that you know them, care abut them, and wanted to give them something that matched them and they couldn't find anywhere else. Not to mention, don't forget yourself! Need something special to go with a particular outfit or want something that matches your decor perfectly? Then contact me for a custom item. Together, I'm sure we can come up with just what you were looking for. Diagnosed with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel, and unable to take any of the medications used in treatment, being able to stay productive, hopefully make something that I can sell to buy more materials to make more things is my dream. I can't imagine a day without creating something. Thank you so much for visiting my page and my shop!!
