Dawns Design Alterations and repairs to Custom projects, which include Wedding and Special Occasion Gowns, Boat C I started sewing way before I was 10.

I got my first sewing machine when I was 10 yrs old. I had an amazing Home Economics teacher who encouraged my love of sewing, and the friendly competition from my friend Sally. I would go for extra time to sewing class and learn so much. In 1986 I made my first wedding dress, and then was asked to help others create their dream dresses. I learnt how to alter and repair clothing, and it was appare

nt that that was pretty easy for me. I went to evening class to learn pattern cutting and Design. I ended up designing dresses for brides and Prom dresses too. I started to Study Interior Design at the Regent Academy of Arts in Regent Street, London. I also completed an Interior Decorators Course with Honors and a 4.0 GPA with Ashworth University in the United States. I have worked for Mountain Sprouts, as a seamstress and quality control. I was the seamstress for the Buckle, and taking up Jeans and making repairs to clothing in the store as needed. I have run my business from wherever we have lived. Experience in Uniforms - Police, Sheriffs Depts, State Patrol, United States Air Force, Army and Marines, VFW, USO, and Security Officers Uniforms. Drapery's, Patio Furniture, some Upholstery. Now working on Boat Covers and sails. I will take a look at anything and tell you if it is fixable or not. I can replace zippers - which I find is the biggest thing people throw their best jeans away, or that favorite jacket - Let me have a look and tell you if it can be fixed.
