Revival has always been rooted in the belief that community is created through connection.
Community connection fosters understanding, empathy, and most importantly, the ability to stand together through upheaval.
We’ve been at a loss for words over the last few weeks - words can’t convey the anger we have towards our government, ICE, and those enabling their actions.
We have been grappling with how we exist in a system designed to benefit people and structures antithetical to what Revival stands for: credit cards, supplies, and so many other things small businesses rely on are monopolized by the exact companies driving small businesses into the ground and standing with this administration.
We can’t change the system overnight, but we can use Revival to direct money towards people and causes we believe in and use our platform to educate our customers to the best of our ability.
Revival will be open tomorrow 1/30, 10-8.
We stand with our employees and community members who are choosing not to work.
We will be directing all tips at checkout towards the Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice and donating 100% of profits to mutual aid funds supporting businesses forced to close their doors in Minneapolis (more to come on those tomorrow).
The small business world is, truly, so small - when one business is forced to close its doors, an entire community feels the impact. As always, we hope that when you enter Revival, you are able to exist exactly as who you are. You are never obligated to purchase anything and we hope the space brings you relief from the outside world.
You are safe at Revival, you are needed.
No one is illegal on stolen land. ICE out.
