Trunk was hardly a flunk, and may it go down in Iowa City history as a short lived gem and may the finds and memories made there live on.

Thanks to all my customers for their support on this chapter of my life. It was only about a sentence long in the life of a business, but there are a plethora of parentheses in its story.

It has been a hard coming down this week after the sale as the turnout literally blew me away—people coming from many miles away and everyone delighted to find a deal.

Those three days were really affirming and a generous goodbye.

On to the next chapter (after I sell the little (comparatively) that remains.)

And in 15 minutes, GO HAWKS.

Also, if you would like to make an appointment to see what is left before I sell online or donate, please message me. I am hoping to crowd appointments into the same time when possible and will be done selling at the store end of this week.

Damn.

It’s hard saying goodbye to all the faces I’ve grown to know and love, even in such a short amount of time.

Please know that every conversation and transaction and rolling of laughter or flowing of tears truly touched me to my core.

Having been semi isolated since moving to Iowa City (mostly self imposed by my homebody self), meeting so many new people was a beautiful experience for me.

Thanks to everyone who vibed with my vision and for whom walking in made you smile. You were my people.

I hope to see many more of you (new or old friends) tomorrow and Sunday and I may just keep my Trunk page open forever so I have a connection to you all.
