Yesterday’s results! I know you can’t really see the depth of each pile, but there are loads of each design ready to go downstairs and start sewing. Of course, I still want to add a bit more to the tote, kit, and sling piles this morning plus needing to prep linings for everything….do I really need to sleep this week???

Might not look like much, but this is two dozen prepped Thinserts, some full size and some minis. Also prepped are about ten puff pouches, 15 Big Slouches including some epic chenille, and I am even bringing back the Create Your Kit bags and have some prepped as well. Next up, a bunch or market totes in chenille, quilts, and tablecloths, plus linings for everything. Then hopefully tomorrow will just be sewing nonstop!

Vintage textiles washed, dried, sorted and ready for a full day of cutting and prepping! I am so thrilled you have been loving my usual bag designs but made with preloved and repurposed materials, and felt terrible I didn’t have enough last market for everyone! So the goal for next week is about triple the makes so I have set up a huge space in my living room to just get as many pieces made as possible, spreading out for easier preparation than if I tried in my studio space. Hoping to finish all that today and then take it all downstairs and sew it up!!

My love of this towel knows no bounds!! I have hoarded a hand towel and bath towel I believe since childhood, and anytime I have come across one, I have snapped it right up (like maybe twice). And I actually use them because they make me so happy, but I want to make things with them and of course I can’t cut into my own precious stash. So you can imagine my delight when recently, in one of those insomnia hours in the middle of the night I opened eBay to pass the time and came across this entire stash +2 washcloths. I was truly in disbelief, especially when I got the entire lot for less than some people were selling a singular towel for! The score of the year, in my book, and now they are freshly laundered and ready to turn into the most gorgeous bags for any orange lovers like myself! 🧡🧡🧡

Spotted!! Thank you to everyone who came out in the icky and sticky humidity yesterday and stopped by the market. Loved to see bags acquire last week were already in use this week, I hope you love them! And for those who didn’t have many choices later in the morning due to the early birds snapping this week’s makes up so quickly, I promise to have so much more for the next market! It is clear I need to include more quilt and chenille pieces, more quirky mashups of different materials, and some smaller sizes too. I had one gentleman suggest a duffle from bank bags, so that might be on the list to try, or at least maybe bringing back the large Zip Top Totes? I have two weeks to get a huge drop ready, and going to start today while enjoying the sounds of heavy rain (finally!) and drinking much coffee. Hope your weekend was lovely, and see you on the 20th!

** Oh, and the next June market will be the only one I will be at between now and August 1st- there is no market on the 4th and I will be at my first ever sewing retreat/class for the other July event 🥰

Rise and shine, it’s market time!!! Storms are gone, sun is shining, and it is going to be a fab morning! Note that the city is here with all their vehicles, so if you have trouble finding me, look for the giant flag hanging over the park- I am there!! Here until noon and things are already being snapped up so hope you get here in time for your favorite picks! 💕

Sneak peek! Not quite finished and there are still more not shown, but by the time I am done at the day job and get home to add straps and snaps, it will likely be too dark to share. So, here are just a few things I made this week and will have at market in the morning! We are rain or shine, so unless it is a bad storm during market hours, we will be there!

Working hard at restocking after I was cleaned out last week, so nothing is quite finished enough to share yet. Except for this fun oversized tote, which might just be my new favorite ever! A mix of vintage sacks, ticking, and sugar bags (on the back outer pockets) with part of a delicious Japanese pop art version of a vintage feed sack. I think the combo is so fun! It still needs closures and I am adding a crossbody strap as well, but it was enough to share at least! More to come, or just head to market Saturday and see in person! 🤣
