Vacation memories ❤️
A wrap I knit in large part on our trip to New England.
Seashells from the beach on Martha’s Vineyard.
Earrings from a boutique in Edgartown.
A lovely print of the Mayflower Inn.
A beer from the Von Trapp Bierhall.
3,400 miles of driving was worth every moment spent together.

I’m working on another in a classic camel cashmere. I’m prepping it for a road trip later this month to the east coast, so it will be more of an American road trip shawl.

Did I knit this hat two-toned as a design element, or did I run out of my main mohair color too early? 🤷‍♀️😂 I’ll never tell. (Cue cheesy 80s commercial)

This large wrap is slated as a “thank you” gift for a teacher my daughter loves. It’s generous in size, like she was with her time, with highlights of color, like she was and is to her students. I’m forever grateful to all the educators (both teachers and support staff of all facets) who poured into my girls through the years.

A tale of two hats: a neutral cabled one for a friend of 30 years (yes, 30 years) and a blast of color for our neighbor. Both one of a kind—the hat and the recipient. ❤️

Outdoor lunch knitting to finish out a lovely homecoming weekend. Sure, we lost, but let’s be honest—no one is a Hawkeye fan for the wins. We cheer because we love Iowa, regardless. lykkeknittingneedles

First day of my favorite season (October babies, ya feel me?!), and I’ve got knits done, almost done, and likely to be revised. This amazing scarf is the European Road Trip by in 3/28NM cashmere (held double), and OMG. It is delicious. This one is for my 18yo (lucky girl!), but there will be more for me.
The sweater is Shifted by in LE Super Soft dk. The neckline is a bit wide for my likes, though, so I’ll probably redo it as a turtleneck. Knitting is amazing.
The second sweater is still in progress, but I think the sleeves will go quickly. I’m blocking it to see how much it grows (oh, brioche) so I can take that into account for the sleeve length. This is On the Terrace Pullover for in the test knit phase. Perfect squish for fall!

I’m calling this my Social Media Hat: looks great to the world, but it’s a bit messy on the inside. Still, this fun hat will brighten a dull winter day.
