Open since 2006 we are a run-specialty shop located at 700 Cascadilla Street. We offer a complete line of running shoes, accessories, apparel and nutrition items. Can’t wait for Halloween GORE? Neither can we!!

If you’re looking for a shoe you can run in no matter the weather, take the dogs out for a walk, or just rely on not being wet into the next day, GORE-TEX waterproofing is the best out there. It’s really a necessity for anyone in CNY for the next few months, and this season we’ll have the following models in the store:

• Salomon Running Aero Blaze 4 GRVL GTX: A mouthful, but a unique lacing system that fits me better than the standard Salomon Quicklace setup, and I think my favorite cushioning/ride out of all of these.

• HOKA Challenger 8 GTX: One of the longer-standing Do It All hybrid shoes out there. You get classic Hoka cushioning to keep your feet happy (and lift them out of puddles), and reliable traction.

• Topo Athletic Ultraventure 5 GTX: Topo’s first shoe with GORE-TEX, and happy to say I like this much more than their prior waterproofing. Our least-known brand, also happens to have our best selling trail model in the regular Ultraventure 5 (and is currently leading Ithaca in footwear sales this year).

• Brooks Running Ghost 18 GTX: Little needs to be said for the Ghost in popularity, but this is also our most popular waterproof model year after year. It’s simple and just works, all without needing to reinvent what a shoe is. We also have a secondary color in these this year!

Check out our GORE-TEX waterproof shoe options before it’s too late, and we’re buried in snow (or rain, nobody really knows anymore).

Loop the Lake packet pickup is almost here!

Planning a final shakeout before the big weekend? Start at the store to try out the ASICS Running Superblast 3s! Come hang out with me in the shop this Sunday as I try to get the Chicago Marathon on our tiny TV! Store hours are shifting more towards the morning too, and we will now be open 8:30am to 2pm!

I’m catching up on some new stuff arriving in the store the last few weeks, but we do have some events to plug for Octob...

I’m catching up on some new stuff arriving in the store the last few weeks, but we do have some events to plug for October:

October 1st - I’ll be at Skan Run Club Skan Run Club so closing early to get over there on time.

October 3rd - Another Syracuse Run Club SYRACUSE RUN CLUB morning run with Asics demos and packet pickup for the Inner Harbor 5k.

October 4th - Inner Harbor 5k! Chat with me and a pal racing in the 5k and get some single-use 10% off cards to use in the store.

October 16th - Loop the Lake Wolfpack Multisport packet pickup for most of the day on Friday, with the shorter races going off Saturday, and longer stuff on Sunday that weekend.

And of course, the weekly group runs are still on going in October. I’ll be sure to update everyone on other stuff that comes up too!

A new Salomon Running style in the shop: the Aero Blaze 4 Gravel!

Ian and I spent a lot of time last winter looking for a light trail shoe to give a little more bite into fresh snow, while still having a smooth ride on uncovered sections, and we really feel like this is going to be a great addition this year. It’s essentially the same upper, fit, and cushion as the regular Aero Blaze, but includes an outsole with some texture to it and a simpler lace closer system.

Personally, I haven’t been the biggest fan of Salomon’s Quick Lace setup in most of the trail shoes I’ve given a try, but I was surprised that the tweaks made here feel like they have a much better hold on my foot that shouldn’t have me readjusting anything while on the move.

Stay tuned to know when we get some waterproof options in the shop! October still looks like it’ll be fairly warm in Syracuse, but it’s a great time to buy your winter gear early before we run out!

Some updates to the Syracuse store hours this week as we head into Labor Day weekend!

I'll be closing a little earlier tonight (6pm) and tomorrow (5:30pm) for some inventory swapping and a very cool group run event in Skaneateles! For the other days: Friday will have regular hours, Saturday going 10am to 4pm, Sunday on regular hours (12pm to 5pm), and Monday just 2pm to 7pm.

Stay tuned for a post with some deals I'm working on for the weekend too!

Some similar, but new, colorways of the ASICS Running Novablast 6 just arrived! I’ve been a big fan of the recent Novablast update (and our August sales say some of you are as well), so we’re adding a new women’s and men’s colorway to the on-hand inventory (1st and 2nd pics respectively).

For my own testing and intrigue, a pair of the new Sonicblast 2 and Yogiri Speed (3rd and 4th pics). Previously, both have been sort of the ugly ducklings out of the Asics lineup that leave them in this weird limbo territory of not being the best in any given category, even within the other models Asics offers. But these updates and tweaks make them options I’m excited to try out.

I’m almost back to regular-run-length again post Achilles rehabbing, so fingers crossed workouts are around the corner for me!

Another fan favorite has been added to our nutrition wall… Science in Sport! (Science in Sport USA)

Similar to Precision, we’ve had a huge ask from Ithaca and Syracuse customers over the last year+ for this, and it’s finally coming together. If you head over to our website (link in bio), I made a survey form you can fill out if you want to request something specific. I’m hoping to have orders put together this weekend and then just a week or so before we get them in-store, so let me know what you want!

I don’t have any specific nutrition promos to post just yet for the fall months coming up, but our 10% off box purchases still applies year round!

Thanks to everyone who came out to run with SYRACUSE RUN CLUB this past Saturday! We were able to giveaway 3 (!) shoes with the help of our Asics, Brooks, and Topo reps. Hopefully we’re able to get some more giveaways like this in the near future!

Stay tuned as we get closer to the Inner Harbor 5k on October 4th, they just dropped this years shirt design and it looks so sick. Registration price increases on 9/25, so you have about a month left!
