Add dimension to an all white space with a dramatic feature wall ✨

I wanted to draw attention away from the large TV so that it didn’t dominate the space, this textured faux concrete wall was the perfect solution. The walls in the home are finished with an “orange peel” texture, I really wanted to highlight that and make this wall feel like an old Italian villa that’s been weathered. I wasn’t exactly sure how to achieve that when I first started, but eventually got into a flow and love how it turned out - I may not be a fine art painter, but I know my wall paint ;)

It’s wild how much has changed in a year - a year ago we were celebrating the first day of Spring by heading into a lock down that we assumed would only last 2 weeks and then everything would be back to “normal”. In a year of so much struggle and heartache it is easy to focus on all that we have lost...and boy was there a lot of loss, but it also forced us all to grow, reflect, and slow down. To be grateful of all that we do have, to relish the time we have with our loved ones, and to come together. This Spring I am hopeful for what the future brings 🤍
