Can you believe these were the photos I used in 2011 for one of my top selling veils 🤭?

Looking back, part of me wants to hide these pictures forever. The lighting wasn't great, the styling was simple, and the photos certainly weren't magazine worthy.

But here's the thing:

They sold. A lot.

These photos helped build a dream.

They remind me that you don't have to have the perfect camera, perfect setup, perfect branding, or perfect business plan to start.

🌟You just have to start.

Sometimes we look back at old work and feel a little embarrassed. That's not failure. That's proof of growth.

Every late night, every mistake, every order, every lesson learned, every design created, and every risk taken has led me here.

When I see these photos now, I see courage.

I see a woman building something with what she had.

I see the beginning of a legacy.

So if you're cringing at where you started, take heart.

The fact that you're embarrassed means you've learned. The fact that you've learned means you've grown. And growth is something to celebrate.

Here's to humble beginnings, hard work, and becoming better than we were yesterday.

The motto stands true today about my b&m shop and how my grand opening will go!

Show me something you created years ago that makes you smile (or cringe!) now. I'd love to see how far you've come too.

We've seen a lot of craziness in the shop while trying to get it ready. From electrical outlets being connected to joining buildings when the breaker was off to not having ground wires connected in ceiling lights 👀👀.

We can't wait for that part to be behind us so we can do the floors and be 85% done!! And "I don't math" number, lol, but these are the biggest jobs that will bring so much relief and the thought it can be pulled off when finished with them.

Here's a clip of some ways we're having to be creative to hide some overzealous (mistakes) from previous work in the ceiling 🥰🥰.

It's been a minute since I've shown my face- and for good reasons I made up in my head 😅.

Hi, I’m Laura — the hands (and heart) behind the pretty things which should prob go to my business page Laura C Cole & Co. and/or BowPosh, but I'm one person. Lol.

If you’ve ever wondered what I actually do… it’s a little bit of everything tied together with ribbon, creativity, and a whole lot of passion.

I design custom accessories for life’s most special moments like proms, weddings, celebrations, and all the in-between memories from everyday casual to runway couture that deserve something beautiful. My pieces have landed in just about every country in the world in my 15 years.

My atelier (that means design studio/workshop) is in Jackson, TN off Carriage House right by the interstate. So convenient 😉!

I have a soft and grand opening set for July so you're all invited if I can pull it all off 🙏🏻🤪🥳!!

I'm also a skincare ju**ie, health & wellness franchisee, oh and I do statement charcuterie.

But behind the scenes?

I’m a mom (edit to add: a proud, vibrant, and my knees still work- grandma, too), a Jesus lover, a dream-builder, a thrift treasure hunter, a DIY-er with furniture and more, a business owner figuring it out as I grow, and still a friend who will help you h....well, you know how the sentence goes.

There has been extreme adversity, but through it all, I'm here to show that those things never have to define anyone no matter who you are, where you're from or where you think you're headed.

This little space and life of mine is more than just vanity work, it’s where creativity meets real life, and it's where I can advocate against bullying and homelessness, too. The messy, the growing, the becoming, and the good works bring true meaning full circle.

So whether you’re here for the designs, health & beauty, the journey, or just a little inspiration, I probably left out a lot- I'm really glad you’re here!!

As I work through orders this week, I will message as I finish them so they can be picked up any time after. I don't have an exact time or day for any, unfortunately. I wish I could do that!!

I will also be working on shipping orders so those invoices should be in asap.

These dresses are available for free for those who may not be able to get an up to date dress for their event.

We offer a discreet and judgement FREE zone for them to shop from.

Some may have a fee if we have to cover cleaning costs so if you drop any off, please have them cleaned first if possible with receipt.

Others will be available on a borrow honor system.

While our shop is still under construction, we are still providing services to all local, surround areas, and the rest of the world!

I will be at the shop every day this upcoming week, so stop in and say hi!!!
