My baby is leaving for the Army.

These are our final moments at home before she checks into her hotel and prepares to ship out.

I knew this day was coming, but nothing could prepare this mama’s heart for actually having to let her go. 😭❤️

My baby is officially beginning a whole new chapter of her life.

From my arms to serving our country. 🇺🇸

I’m so proud of you, baby. Go make Mama proud. ❤️

I look at this man and see the man I love unconditionally

I see the man who accepted the 3 children I already had as his own.

The man I went on to have 4 more beautiful babies with.

The man who became the foundation of our family of 7. 🥹

In a world where families can so easily become broken homes, I’m grateful that we continue choosing each other, choosing our children, and choosing this family we created.

We may not be perfect, but this home is filled with love, memories, forgiveness, growth, and 7 beautiful reasons to keep building. ❤️

Today I celebrate YOU.

Happy Birthday to the man I love and the man who helps hold this family together. 🎂❤️

PART 3 ❤️ The moment we’ve all been waiting for. 🥹😭

Dad finally made it to the hospital…

And the second he walked into that room and saw me holding our baby for the first time… THAT SMILE. 😭❤️

After everything it took to get us to this moment, this might be my favorite part of the entire birth story.

Life really has a way of bringing things FULL CIRCLE. 🥹❤️

If you would’ve told me years ago that one day my daughter’s dad AND his wife would be sitting at my house, hanging out with me while we waited on our daughter… I probably would’ve laughed. 😂

I always imagined the next time we’d all be together like this would be for something major — her wedding, a baby shower, something like that.

But here we are.

He came all the way from Atlanta to spend time with our daughter before she leaves for the Army, and somehow she managed to have BOTH of her parents stressed out right up until the very end. 😭😂 He had been here TWO DAYS waiting to see her, she still had to come to me to get her hair done, and at some point we were both like… GIRL, PLEASE GO TO THE ARMY. 😂😂😂

And the crazy part is, growing up, her dad and I definitely didn’t have the relationship we have today. Since she became an adult, we probably communicate and get along better than we ever have.

No drama. No tension. Just two parents who love the same daughter, sitting together laughing about the SAME 20-year-old who has been driving BOTH of us crazy. 😂❤️

Tomorrow she starts a completely new chapter of her life… and as stressful as these last few days have been, I know the minute she leaves we’re both going to miss her like crazy. 🥹🇺🇸

Life is funny like that.

From parents who could barely imagine being in the same room… to Dad and his wife sitting comfortably in Mom’s house because OUR baby is leaving for the Army.

That’s growth. ❤️

After everything I told you in Part One… this is the moment Dad finally made it to the hospital.

He walked into that room and saw me for the first time NOT pregnant anymore… but holding our baby. 🥹😭

And that Kool-Aid smile says EVERYTHING. 😂❤️
