“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21, NIV)

With so much competition and comparing in the world we live in it is easy to treasure things more than we treasure God. It is important to instill in our children that our treasure should be in heaven, and our heart with Jesus.

In my story "Lily & Olive - The Joy Box Mystery" this lesson is taught to the readers! Lily & Olive were gifted a toy box from their dad. They put in it everything that gave them joy. Their dad used this as an opportunity to teach them who our true joy is, our real treasure - Jesus Christ 🙌🏽

I am so thankful to be a servant to children with Sidewalk Ministries Jacksonville

I have the privilege of fellowship with children reinforcing God's Word and being another light in their lives! What a blessing 🥰

We had such a blessed time this past December at the Happy Birthday Jesus party hosted by First Baptist Church! What an awesome event to celebrate Jesus!

God has a special heart for the little children. I read that children are woven into God's plan over 8000 times in scripture! Wow! We all know that Jesus was a child!

If you are a servant to children, I praise God for you! If you have a heart for children I pray God shows you a way to serve them in your community to the glory of His Kingdom. And we all can keep children in our prayers 🙏🏽

Psalm 8:2
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

In the Bible Jesus teaches us to "Pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44) For us adults this may be someone who makes it hard for us at work. For our children, this may be someone who teases them at school. Whoever it is, Jesus calls us to pray for those who make life harder for us. Prayer is an act of kindness, an act of love.

In my book "Lily & Olive - The Lunch Bag Giveaway" I tell a story of two little girls who have a "persecutor" at school. Instead of seeking a way to get back at the little girl that is bothering them, they show an act of kindness. And we know how good God works when we are obedient to His Word.
