She developed a strong and lasting connection with the Navy and Coast Guard community where she grew up, enduring her own father’s frequent absences at sea alongside the other families of his crews. heir service member moms, dads, sisters, brothers, husbands & wives during arduous and lengthy deployments at sea and ashore, far away from home. Lindsay wanted to create a way to remind all of us, as we go about our everyday lives, of the challenges and sacrifices that face our Sailors, Coast-Guardsmen, Marines, and their families. She and her father (the ‘DADmiral’, as Lindsay affectionately calls him) have collaborated to apply their own personal experiences and understanding to a business venture that honors and celebrates those sacrifices while artistically evoking the beauty and romance of the sea surroundings in which they live, work, and, so often…wait. The Admiral (Jim Amerault) and his youngest Daughter (Lindsay Amerault) wanted the simple messages of love and support, and the custom designs to represent more than just a few words and pictures stamped on a shirt, but a movement – representing respect and love for those who sacrifice for us on, over and under the sea, as well as the beauty and fragility of the oceanic environment. Additionally, The Admiral’s Daughters hopes to provide support for the same community of women supporting our cause. Through social media and our blog, we hope these women (the ‘Daughters’) realize that no one has to go through deployments, and separation alone. OUR CAUSE
The Admiral’s Daughters aims to do more than just create cool, comfortable, quality tees. We have created a Sea-Services and Oceanic Environmental Charities Giving Program. For every shirt sold we donate $1.00 to support related charities.
