I didn’t know much about biblical stewardship before we started in 2023, it wasn’t a word that I was using regularly until someone called it out of us. I am truly grateful for that person who saw what God had been preparing us for.
Closing down the shop wasn’t because of lack of passion, but it was about continuing the call of stewardship with time, resources, and the mission that had grown outside of a second floor store front.
As I wrestled with all of the other things on my plate and my husband eager to work with his hands, I didn’t know how to handle being at the shop full-time and navigating the continued need of ministry outside of our store hours.
So we paused. We prayed. I held onto all of the things I had collected and asked God, “what am I supposed to do with all of this?”
And while the temptation was to get rid of it and toss it all, I couldn’t help but think of the wisdom behind stewardship…
We know that “those who are faithful with little will be faithful with much” and while I am a bit more hands off from my booth set-up at — I can’t help but be grateful and thankful that I can still hold onto something I love without having to be tied down to one location. I am certainly a free bird kinda gal. 🥰
Here’s a few photos of the Goods On A Mission booth, 10% of sales ($25 monthly minimum) go to support the continued work of a local mission that I believe deeply in, ! Clothing our neighbors in need is one of the greatest gifts of this work.
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and love for Jesus and vintage finds and fashion — you are my people. 🥰🙌🏻🤍
Special shoutout for my ride or die Jesus loving sister,
