Our Story: The story behind Misa Jane is a personal one, but we want to share our journey with you – to let it be a reminder that women can overcome the most difficult obstacles and bloom into the brave, bold, and fearless individuals that God created them to be. At the age of 17, Sara’s life was forever changed by domestic violence and rape. Despite that, Sara chose to give life and welcomed her
baby girl, Merlissa “Misa” Jane into the world. Raising her child as a single mother and wanting nothing more than to give her the best life she could, they fled to Texas and began their new life together. Fast forward to the age of four, Misa expressed a strong interest in fashion design. She would doodle outfits and add embellishments on pre-drawn models to portray her very eclectic style. Now 11 years old, Misa has expressed an interest in attending a Fashion Design School. As a mother, Sara knows how incredibly important it is to contribute to and encourage her daughter’s future success, and it was then decided to create the “Misa Jane” store to set the foundation which her daughter could build on in the years to come. Spread Awareness: We strive to be active in our community and discover ways to have a positive impact on those around us. Raising 4 daughters, Sara believes in teaching them the importance of empowering other women and being compassionate, bold, courageous, and strong. Sara has a strong passion to raise awareness for Domestic Violence and Rape, to ensure other voices are heard. There is always hope for a better tomorrow.
