Well, guess what? We made three sales this morning, folks! A fine thing to wake up to on a Sunday morning, let me tell ya. It's our first sales, and we're pretty excited about it.

All three boxes are packed and ready to go to their new owners, and I can't tell you how happy that makes me. I'm just hoping that the parts they bought will get that Triumph out of the garage and on the road.

Spring has sprung, and the weather is threatening to warm up. Now, if the rain would just stop, we could all get out there and enjoy the road. I've never been called a fair-weather rider, but these old bones can't take the cold like they used to. Doesn't seem that long ago that it felt like Mama and me were having an ice pick fight with Mother Nature, headed down the Interstate, then went to have a beer to warm up! Ah, the good ol' days...

Anyway, I guess we can say the store is officially open now, since we officially sold something, right? So, y'all remember us to your friends, will you? We're trying hard to get off the ground here. And remember - We're looking for parts!

I put up a pair of old Triumph Foot Pegs on eBay today. They are original, and naturally, they're used. These are rear fold-downs, from a 50's model Tiger.

I try my best to accurately list and describe parts and merchandise, but I'm only human and can't be right 100% of the time.

Gah. Whodda thunk it would have been that nerve racking to try and sell something on eBay?! Of course, we may have made it harder than it needed to be, by sitting there like new parents, waiting for the new baby to "do" something...Nah. We didn't do that.

Really, though, there ought to be an easier way to ease into being a new seller than to be glued to the laptop, giddy with the prospect of each and every new "Watcher" being a "Buyer". Your guts get all tight, you start sweating, you begin to grit your teeth...Then the ol' lady gets all weird about what you might be doing on her computer. It's eBay! I swear!

Anyway. we didn't do any good first shot out of the gate. We only had three items up for sale, and today we put five items up, re-listing two of the items that really seemed to bring in the lookers last time.

I'm not going to let my first shot at this bring me down. I've got some good parts for sale at fair prices. We've spent a good deal of time scouring the internet comparing prices, so I know I'm being fair.

Oh, and you guys keep in mind that I'm in the market to buy parts, too...Alright?

Well, there you go. While I've got your ear, I wanted to let you know that we'll be posting from time to time about what we're going to sell, whether it's listed on eBay or not. Also, we're working at getting it together so that we can buy "basket cases", used parts, and perhaps, if the price is right, even old Triumphs that no one wants anymore. I know, sounds far-fetched, but stranger things have happened! So, keep us in mind.

Tell your friends!

This last item we listed today wouldn't take home the prize for best looking thing, but it's original, and it's not busted up. There's a lot to be said about an original, and a lot to be said about an original that holds their own this long. Even if they ain't pretty! I figure a little tender lovin' care and a nice paint job, this old thing will be as good as new.

Original! Late 50's, Good condition, no cracks. No warranty is implied or expressed. I try my best to accurately list and describe parts and merchandise, but I'm only human and can't be right 100% of the time.

As near as I can tell, this lower end comes from a 1958 to 1960, because it has a magneto and an alternator. Prior to '58, the engines all had generators. After 1960, engines used points and condenser ignition. Here's the one I have for sale. It still turns over, rod bearings appear to be good, has cams and all the gears, and oil pump.

Here's a nice little Amal carburetor. It's clean, but remember it's from back in the 50's. It IS complete, but needs a bowl gasket. You know how that goes. Amal monoblocs are prone to leaking anyway. So...here ya go.

Clean, needs bowl gasket and banjo. No warranty is implied or expressed. I try my best to accurately list and describe parts and merchandise, but I'm only human and can't be right 100% of the time.

Well, it's been slow going, but the old lady got the eBay stuff started. We're learning this together...She has the computer savvy in the household (what there is of it, anyway!), and I'm trying to teach her Triumph tech. We butt heads.

Anyway, eBay has their way of doing things, and only lets you put so many things to start with, or a certain dollar amount, so we only have three items up for sale right now. If we'd known that from the beginning, we might have picked different items...We'll see how it goes.

At any rate, here we are! I suppose the next step would be to let you know what I'm selling, wouldn't it? I'll have Mama post the links for ya. Do me a favor, will you? If you know anybody that needs Triumph parts, send 'em my way!
