Return to Self — Chapter 4: Authority of Self
The BYOHM Experience
There comes a point in your journey where
you stop asking for permission…
and start listening inward.
Not from ego.
Not from defiance.
But from truth.
I’ve spent so much time learning, unlearning, healing…
that I started to notice something:
I wasn’t searching for answers anymore.
I was recognizing them.
What I’m studying now,
what I’m deepening into…
I’ve lived pieces of it before I ever had language for it.
And for a moment, I questioned that.
“Will people believe me?”
“Is this valid without formal structure?”
But the truth is—
embodiment doesn’t require permission.
There is a version of self-trust
that isn’t loud…
isn’t performative…
It’s quiet.
steady.
unshakable.
It sounds like:
“I know what I know.”
And I no longer feel the need
to prove it.
I’m not here to convince.
I’m here to live it.
And the more I trust that…
the more I understand:
I’m not following a path.
I’m building my own.
Piece by piece.
Experience by experience.
Truth by truth.
This is what it looks like to
build your own healing modality.
Not by copying…
but by remembering, integrating,
and trusting what’s already within you.
This is what choosing myself looks like now.
This is the work.
This is the return.
