Playing a game of truth or dare - so here's an unbaked drawing

I often struggle to put thoughts into words, like a hot air balloon of ideas that won’t quite land through my voice or fingers on a keyboard. The disconnect can feel quite paralyzing, but it’s okay. I’m human.

Today my inner child wants to share her creativity with you & your inner kid. I can no longer ignore her loud megaphone or her squishy face.

This is what this drawing means to me. The rest? I’ll leave to your eyes and heart.

Today, stress and fear might feel like the only options. But in every moment in your journey, you always have a choice. To pause. To breathe. To remind yourself: You are more resourceful than you think. You are loved. It's okay to choose your unique path.

Reflection questions:

❔In 100 years, what will actually matter? Imagine looking forward and back
❔Will you wish you had let go sooner?
❔What has the cumulative effect of stress cost you—mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually?

PS: This drawing is inspired by my amazing coach, who reminds me every session that I always have a choice—even when struggle feels like the only path. I can be happy now. Grateful for your support! 🙏🏼

How cool is it that we get to listen to our patients’ heartbeat?

I know you’ve done thousands of cardiac exams in your medical career

But have you listened to your own heart recently?

I have.
And here are my exam findings...

PE:
General: AAOx3, appears well and smiling
Cardiac: regular rate, joyful rhythm. S1 & S2 normal. Heart warm and open without pressure, with sporadic aches. Pulse strong and loud. Knowing: “You are unconditional love”
Pulmonary: Lungs CTA b/l, no wheeze/rales/rhonchi

Did you know that your heart has its own intelligence?
🫀It has 40,000 sensory neurons that relay info to the brain 🧠

This is great news! Because you don’t have to ask your husband whether or not you should transition into a nonclinical job in the next 3 months
