A Jersey City wedding, through and through, for some of the nicest folks, through and through. Jack and Shae are friends and neighbors of the shop. So, not only did I have the honor of making Jack a suit for their big day, I also get to see them all the time. (Perks of the job!)

Jack wanted something that could be the main event, but also elevate his everyday look after the wedding. He went with our signature blue Monument Suit, for a look that’s smart, sharp and stately. Well done, Jack.

A tux is never just a tux — it’s one of the most important investments a man can make in his wardrobe. You always want a tuxedo to look like it was made just for you, and no one else. The borrowed ones just won’t do, so please don’t even mention the R-word around these parts.

Andrew had a classic tux in mind, but we decided to go a step beyond the tried and true. The twist? The shawl collar, which made Andrew look both sharp and smoooooooth.

As we prepare for the surge of the wedding season ahead, we’re looking back on some of the great wedding looks we created over the past few months. And this one — THIS one — is one heck of a look, If we do say so ourselves. Take in ALL the details of this proper three-piece with all the fixins’ — watch pocket, pleats, two-inch cuff — all in a remarkable green, worn spectacularly well by the one and only DJ. 

Through our conversations, it became clear to me that DJ was a man with a deep appreciation for quality, as you can see.

And thanks to all our customers and friends who voted — your support means the world to us. This year marked our 20th year in business, so this win is a really special one. Designing and creating became an undeniable calling for me some decades ago and it’s been an honor to craft custom clothing for you—for your wedding, for that new job, for a long-anticipated vacation or simply just because. We’re updating our hours for the fall/winter! You can find us at the shop Tuesday-Saturday, with Tuesdays reserved for bespoke appointments only. If your schedule doesn’t work with ours, give us a call at 201-216-0770 and we’ll be happy to accommodate you. Bespoke and alterations appointments can be made at decarlosbespoke.com or the link in bio.

A quick note about Tuesdays: Google shows us as being “closed” because they don’t have an option that allows us to select appointment only. But rest assured, our books are open on Tuesday!
