This woman saves lives. full stop. 🛑
Meet Carol Sainthilaire, our and Executive Director of
I met Carol for the first time during a Zoom interview. Two minutes into the conversation her ideas and passion had escaped the bounds of my Ipad and filled my living room. She was somehow safety and joy and action all at once.
She reminded me of my mom - that every room becomes a living room with Carol in it, like it did with my mom.
Carol is the champion and the woman you want in the corner as you enter the ring. (frankly, you also probably want her picking out your fit too.)
Everyday she fights against the systems that take advantage of our most vulnerable and rallies communities together.
Carol is doing the work on the front lines of our housing crisis. And, she’s fully vocal that she doesn’t do this work alone - she’s joined by an incredible WFP team.
Many of us discuss the lack of affordable housing in - We do this while still sipping our $6 coffees or $20 cocktails. (And we should keep doing that, especially if we’re buying them from a local business).
But, Carol. Carol will turn a shared martini into a new policy initiative to protect families from eviction.
Carol is the woman we want our girls to see. The woman we want them to be. The kind of woman our community needs.
One day, I hope Carol will run for office. Until that day, support her and your neighbors by donating to The Waterfront Project.
ps if you needed another reason to love Carol - she saves animals too.
