I posted a photo of an apron pattern a year or so ago that generated some interest a couple of months ago. I have been playing around with the pattern ever since. I have to say, I love this pattern! I adapted it a bit and have made a few versions. These are all my prototypes, but I think I landed on the version made with the tan and striped fabric.
I tried to keep in mind my mission to repurpose fabric, but also used fabric that was scraps from other projects - I have a lot of that laying around! This also keeps the cost down considerably! I got a lot of the fabric at thrift stores. It requires 5-6 yards of fabric, so If I were purchasing that at regular price, the materials alone would be $25-$40. I altered the pattern from the original by not actually making button holes - they are just decorative. I found it difficult to get the strap from behind me and up over my shoulders. For some, I tried elastic, but didn’t love that either.
Take a look below and let me know if you are interested! Prices are included below. I can ship for an additional cost if needed.
