Dr. Gerson combines advanced clinical training with a deep commitment to small-town, personalized care. A proud Calhoun County native, she’s honored to serve the Tri-County area - caring for the same families, friends, and neighbors who helped shape who she is today.
She earned her degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2019 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Blackburn College, and has received multiple honors for both academic and clinical excellence.
Dr. Gerson has a special passion for pediatric eye care, believing early exams set the foundation for success in school and life. She also specializes in custom contact lenses, including scleral lenses, and provides prompt, reassuring care for urgent eye concerns.
Outside the exam room, she’s active in the Illinois Optometric Association and was named Illinois’ Young Optometrist of the Year in 2022.
She lives in Jerseyville with her husband, Brad, and their three dogs: Gus, Scout, and Stanley. When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her on the river, supporting local events, or working on a sewing project.
