Additionally, my friends are hosting an estate sale in Allegan, MI on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This one is organized differently than what we are used to - fill a 18 gallon tote (or similar size) with as much as you can for TWENTY DOLLARS! What! So much good furniture for sale too. There is a barn full of treasures and a house full of furniture and collectibles. Perfect for resellers!!

I’ll be hoarding all this and more for my perfectly curated collection for The Found Cottage Mercantile market this Labor Day weekend 📅 come see me for my 4th year!!

It was the most crusty, dusty estate I’ve picked in a while.. but the signs drew me in. My family members dropped like flies and retreated to the car, but I locked in and I ultimately left with boxes & boxes of well loved yet preserved treasures. I think I’ll be laundering everything twice 🫡🥲

We do the dirty work, so yall don’t have to 💋

Be sure to be prepared:
❗️bring your own 18ish gallon tubs (fill your tub for $20!) boxes equivalent in size work too
❗️bring packing supplies for breakables (or not if you are a risk taker)
❗️have help with you if you plan to buy furniture (all make an offer!)
⏳ don’t come with limited time as there is SO MUCH TO SEE AND DIG THROUGH!

somehow I’ve become the girl you call if you have taxidermy to get rid of.. the girl you call when you spot a mount at a garage sale for $20.. the girl who doesn’t hunt but looooves a nice rack 🥹

my fondness of mounts comes from my grandpa 💙 he was a “hunt to fill the freezer” kind of guy, and if he scored a trophy while doing so - even better. I grew up around mounts and while I’m def not a hunter, I can’t shake the obsession.

my first artifact was a moose skull gifted to me by my parent’s sweet old man neighbor when I was 18. I was so freaking excited. This year I ended up with grandpas first bear, an old gal. It was his first out of three, but his favorite nonetheless. She’s so special.

and somehow in between I’ve morphed into who you call when a mount needs a home. I’ve inherited many mounts from family, friends and beyond, and I’m here to say they all have a story. From a great uncle’s bucks, to a friends husband’s wood duck and prized childhood artifacts, to the caribou from a friend’s grandma who just wanted space in her garage.

Still reeling from the fun chaos that takes over Holland, MI during ! ☀️🤘🏽

From slinging my goods at the market, to marching in the Kinderparade, to checking out our beautiful tulips, and engaging with tourists - I truly had a wonderful week.

The tulips may be withering now and the tourists have gone home, and those of us who call this special town home get to relax a little bit.. I am happy to have the blood (IYKYK 🥲), sweat, and happy tears behind me til next year’s festivities roll around 🌷

Thank you to all who came out to the market, checked in on me and wished me well, waved at me in the parade, and for the general support. Tulip Time is so much more than junk food and beautiful flowers. It’s months and months of planning, organizing, and providing a great experience for all.
