Hearing loss is often invisible, which means many people don't fully understand the challenges that come with it.

As a mom to a son with hearing loss and cochlear implants, I wanted to share a few things I wish more people knew. Not for sympathy, but for awareness. A little patience, understanding, and inclusion can make a world of difference.

My son is funny, smart, resilient, and capable. Hearing loss is just one part of who he is.

I hope this helps others better understand what life can look like through the eyes—and ears—of a child with hearing loss. ❤️👂

4 years ago we were at Mott’s Children’s
hospital to have a ruptured ear drum fixed for Beckett. This second attempt at fixing it would be a success.
