✨How do you play with it? ✨

🌦️Our adult brains have a hard time not ‘knowing the plan’ when it comes to our products.

🌦️Sensory play is open- ended play!

🌦️Open-ended play is an unstructured and imaginative form of play that allows children to independently explore the world around them. Engaging in this type of play encourages creativity, problem-solving, language development, and social-emotional intelligence.

🌦️Children may play with sensory dough and rice much differently from one another, even when using the same product!

🌦️The possibilities are literally limitless when it comes to this type of play.

🌦️We love watching kids play and in observing what they do with it we are often surprised ourselves!

✨Dough Care✨
Our dough is made with natural ingredients its longevity depends on how it is cared for.

🌦️Store in a cool location
If you order in the summer months or just live in a warmer part of the world keep your dough in the fridge when it’s not being played with.

Pro tip- try throwing it in the freezer! The added sensory experience from frozen dough is great! It will thaw and be perfectly fine.

🌦️Keep out of direct sunlight
The color can be affected if left in sunlight too long. It can also cause the dough to break down more quickly.

🌦️Always wash hands before using
Clean hands = longer lasting dough.

🌦️Salt crystals are normal.
Salt crystals may form this is completely normal for salt dough. We use a lot of salt, it’s a natural preservative. If you see salt crystals just knead them back in they will disappear.

🌦️Dry Dough?
Keep dough in its jar or ziplock. If you(or your child) forget to seal up the dough just add a few drops of water or oil, like coconut or vegetable oil.

🌦️Wet Dough?
You can sprinkle a tiny bit of flour on the dough and knead it in. Too much of this will affect the dough over time.

🌧️ Through sensory play children learn that they can do something that causes something else to happen.

⛅️ Scooping rice from one location to another or shaping dough teaches causality.

🌧️Discovering cause-effect relationships is an important stage of development.

⛅️Being able to control and explore their environment with independence is both beneficial and rewarding for a child.

Can you eat it? 🤔

YES & NO..
⛅️Our sensory dough is taste safe by that we mean it is technically edible. That doesn’t mean that it will taste good, or that you necessarily want your child to eat a lot of it.

⛅️If it gets in your baby’s mouth or your toddler sneaks a lick, that’s okay. There is a ton of salt in our dough to help preserve it. Do you let your kid eat ‘commercial playdough?’ Probably not.. it also tastes awful (trust us) 🫣

✨Some of our playdough has glitter or other add ins.

⛅️Our rice, pasta and bean sensory mixes may sound like you can eat them. The base is food after all.

⛅️our mixes are also taste safe by that we mean it is technically edible. The mixes are covered with food grade coloring, and acrylic paint, probably not the best idea to make it a meal.

⛅️Some of our mixes have glitter or other non edible add ins .

✨Bottom line-Our products are for play only !

🤗Parent supervison is always a must. 🤗
