Today we wanted to share the story of how Sky Brim hats were founded.

About 8 years ago, John's good friend, Jay Becker, came to him with a new concept in hat design. They had always talked about coming up with a new, more functional hat that catered to those who are passionate about the outdoors. Fisherman, boaters, golfers, hikers and many others could potentially benefit from such a hat.

After another 2 years of painstaking design and a long patent application process... Sky Brim hats were born. Unfortunately Jay Becker lost a short and sudden battle with cancer just last year. Both Jay and John were very proud and excited for their new development. Now John hopes to carry on what they began as two friends and business partners - to share this new design with fellow outdoor lovers.
