When my husband and I were first dating we were looking into purchasing a new treadmill for me. I moved in with him and no longer had access to the treadmills at my apartment.
We had a couple friends that knew we were looking for a treadmill and they were looking to get rid of theirs. We looked at it and it wasn’t a shiny new treadmill, we knew it would do what I was needing. The best selling point on the treadmill was that it was for free!
We took it home and tried it and it was perfect! A couple things needed tightened and the safety latch needed upgrading, but that was it.
After 10 years of owning this treadmill we talked about getting a new one once (that was until this year). Only because the hydraulics are going out and I’m lucky if I get to an incline of 5%. We changed our mind because I’m not really doing a high incline anyway and I’m content with it as long as I scan walk on it in the winter (ice).
With the new year approaching and new goals fresh in the mind, please keep in mind that used can do the same if not pretty darn close as a shiny new. 😁
If you want new and can afford it go for it, but if you are new to fitness or getting back in the groove try buying slightly used (needs to be in good condition for safety reasons) until you are fully committed. You don’t want to end up with an expensive clothes hanger or door stopper. Always do your research 🧐
Happy New Year 🎆
