I’m so excited to share that my Simple Addition baby quilt won a blue ribbon at the Missouri State Fair this month! This was a completely new experience for me and it was so exciting seeing my hard work on display. This project was entered into a benefit class, so it was donated to the children’s hospital after the fair.

My longarm is loaded and ready to go! Now I just have to figure out how to quilt this…

My 9yo has been a fan of Dolly Parton ever since she received books from the Imagination Library as a toddler. So much so that last fall she chose fabrics for her own “coat of many colors”. We’re sad that she’s gone, but know that her legacy will live on through her many philanthropic works and music. 🩷🦋

This year my monthly charity sewing group has been working on quilt tops for Honor Flight. I’ve been working on these two quilt tops this summer. I think they turned out well and I hope the veterans who receive them love them as much as I do. 💙

This is such a special quilt. I did the quilting and binding, but I did not make the top. It was sewn by two of my daughters. They’re 13 and 9. It is a Quilt of Valor. This morning during military appreciation day at the Missouri State Fair they presented it to their grandpa, who served in the army in the early 1980’s. They worked on it for months and were so excited to finally give it to him today. ❤️🤍💙
