Blocks for our final round of testing are FINISHED 😮‍💨

GeoNova™ CEBs are already on average 4X STRONGER than the ASTM cobb standard, reaching peak compressive strength of 1,320 PSI (12,680 lbs of force). That’s equal to stacking TWO AND A HALF Ford F-150s directly on our block!

Albeit—our latest batch is even stronger—achieving density that is near parity to industrial concrete (e.g., 144.4 lb/ft^3 vs 145 lb/ft^3). We’re excited to see what these next test results will reveal! 🙌🏾

We're honored to be #6 on Metropolis Magazine's list of "11 Tools Transforming Sustainable Design" for our regenerative GeoNova™ building block!

Our production approach utilizing the BloxTruck™ mobile factory and 90% local waste soil allows us to create compressed earth blocks (CEBs) that ***cut carbon emissions by up to 70%*** compared to traditional masonry and timber.

OK, I know we’ve been quiet for a while — but WE’RE STILL OUT HERE!!

Working diligently head down on delivering safe, healthy earthen homes to our community, and we’re making important strides to build a disruptive, systemic model to transition society away from the PETRO-CHEMICAL, TIMBER FRAME SYSTEM THAT KEEPS FAILING US.

Tangible updates:

1) We finished our private commission for Current State Coffee Roasters: dubbed Ancestral Grounds, the hand-rammed coffee bar is the centerpiece of their flagship location opening in downtown Shawnee and honors Kansas’ Indigenous ancestors who were masterful stewards of earthen architecture.

2) We graduated from Real Estate Development Program to learn the fine tools and inner working of entitlements, incentives, and capital stacks for homebuilding.

3) We achieved Class A GC licensure in Johnson County, KCMO is next!

4) We’re finalizing our block formula for construction of Stonehome #1 this summer; blocks are compressed at 2250 PSI (code min is 1900 PSI) so we’re confident and eager to receive our third-party certification results necessary to break ground and build the safest, most affordable and sustainable house on the block

We conducted standard 30-minute and 24-hour water absorption tests for our GeoNova™️ CEBs by submerging them in water and noting their weight change 🧱🏋🏾‍♀️

Proudly, results were excellent! 😉 Another step toward assuring our homes are safe and healthy for all.

Next, we’ll send blocks to a professional lab for stress testing! Our final step to secure building permits 😮‍💨
