I've been thinking about how sterile the items we seek out in the world come to us. How we prize the emptiness of these items. How the removal of the humans behind the making is taken from us.

These bags are made with immense education and practice and also all of my humanity. Their need to be mended and cared for are pivotal.

Proud of this new collaboration with in Gordonsville, VA.

They sent me their fabric scraps (lots of feedsack remnants) and I infused them with indigo, cosmos from the garden and avocados from our compost to create new collages. I am so grateful for the like minded people who find me, understand me and allow me to be me.

And really best of all you can find my husband's new ceramic work in their brick and mortar too! What a gift to sit in a space with him. Thank you folking 🙏🏻.
