so i met Jennifer Allwood tonight and she’s basically the most precious human on the planet. i also met and connected with some really awesome ladies, so all in all - pretty successful night! feeling thankful and ready to see what the future has in store for my little shop💜

it’s me. if you don’t know me, my name is haley and i run this little online shop called woven hope. fun facts: i love Jesus a lot, my favorite color is navy blue, and i once thought i was supposed to have a blow hole because my dad told me our ancestors came from Wales 🐳

anyway, my goal with this shop is to make ethical fashion accessible for everyone. everything is ethically made, meaning that the workers get paid fairly and work in a safe environment. it’s also all high quality and affordable - i don’t think ethical fashion should be limited to the wealthy. it should be the norm. so that’s what i’m trying to do! also, we donate 5% of profits to the A21 Campaign which is an organization that helps prevent and rescues people from human trafficking. take a gander at wovenhopekc.com (link in bio) and see whatcha think ☺️

happy (almost) new year!

as 2018 comes to a close, i (like pretty much everyone else in the world) am spending some time reflecting on this past year. guys i’m ridiculously thankful for all of you who have followed, interacted with, and supported my little shop! it’s literally a dream come true. my heart does a little happy dance every time i think about it🤗

thank you for making the choice to shop small and to shop ethically. you may not feel like you’re making a difference, but you truly are. every little step you take gets us closer to ethical fashion not just being AN option but being THE ONLY option. big change happens one step at a time!

on a personal note, 2018 has also taught me a lot about myself, and i’m really thankful for that as well. a few big things i learned:
1) it doesn’t matter if your career choice is the one people think you should have...if you’re miserable in your job, get a new one.
2) effective communication is more important than your feelings. (if you want to know what i mean by that feel free to message me...it’s way too long to put in this caption lol).
3) comparison is a thief of joy. a little stinkin THIEF. that one is a constant battle for me.

i don’t know about you, but when i see nature like this my heart leaps and i want to praise God for his creation. He made it all. every little bit of it. what a mighty God we serve.

this time of year we celebrate the fact that God came to earth in the form of baby Jesus. but He was (and is) so much more than a cute baby in a manger. He’s the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He’s the Creator of all things. He’s the Prince of Peace and Almighty God. The Savior of the world. He lived a perfect, sinless life and died a sinners death as the atonement for our sins because we could never ever ever do or be enough to pay for them ourselves. I’m thankful for the manger and the virgin birth - but even more so for the Cross and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is coming back again, and what a glorious day that will be. even the most beautiful scenery can’t compete with that.

anybody traveling for the holidays this year? we did our holiday traveling over Thanksgiving. went to Ireland and it was a blast!! enjoy this nice airplane pic from when we left.

but for the first time in a long time i can say we’re only traveling about an hour away tomorrow morning for Christmas. so crazy! but also so nice :) feels a lot slower and calmer without the hustle and bustle of travel.

i love to see family and will travel anywhere and everywhere to make that happen, but i’ve gotta say i’ve loved slowing down and being home the last few days!! would you rather travel somewhere or stay close to home for the holidays?
