Psalm 95:4-5 “In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.”

i don’t know about you, but when i see nature like this my heart leaps and i want to praise God for his creation. He made it all. every little bit of it. what a mighty God we serve.
✨
this time of year we celebrate the fact that God came to earth in the form of baby Jesus. but He was (and is) so much more than a cute baby in a manger. He’s the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He’s the Creator of all things. He’s the Prince of Peace and Almighty God. The Savior of the world. He lived a perfect, sinless life and died a sinners death as the atonement for our sins because we could never ever ever do or be enough to pay for them ourselves. I’m thankful for the manger and the virgin birth - but even more so for the Cross and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is coming back again, and what a glorious day that will be. even the most beautiful scenery can’t compete with that.

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 53:3-5 “He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”

Merry Christmas to all. May we never lose sight of the true meaning of this day.
