A new local shopping destination is coming to Prairiefire!

🛍️ The Vine, a 20-vendor boutique marketplace from Boutique Collective, will take over the former Rock & Brews space at 5701 W. 135th St. in Overland Park.

Shoppers can expect clothing, accessories, home décor, gifts, specialty treats and more from local vendors, plus a café area with drinks and charcuterie and a patio for pop-ups and events.

The Vine is expected to open as soon as next month and will be Boutique Collective’s first Johnson County location. 🌿

Boutique Collective to Replace Themed Restaurant

Prairiefire said its Rock & Brews Restaurant is closing after a dozen years.

In a statement, Prairiefire extended “its appreciation to the Rock & Brews team for being a valued part of the district and for the many celebrations, game days, family dinners and community events hosted at the restaurant over the years.”

Officials with Rock & Brews couldn’t be reached for comment Monday or this morning. The Overland Park location is still listed on the company’s website.

The Boutique Collective founder Jennifer Reichert said Rock & Brews closed Monday.

She plans to open Boutique Collective-The Vine in the space at 5701 W. 135th St. in mid-September.

She opened The Boutique Collective in May in Zona Rosa, and then quickly expanded with a second Zona Rosa location called The Boutique Collective – The Willow.

The shops feature local vendors offering women’s and men’s boutiques, food, home décor and more.

Rock & Brews opened in Prairiefire in April 2014. It had theatrical lighting and iconic rock art around the ceiling. Garage doors on two sides opened to the dog-friendly patio. It also had a children’s play area.

KISS co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley occasionally stopped in.
