I can’t believe we made it to 8 YEARS today. Eight years ago, I officially registered this business in Hawaii. It started as a small jewelry collection—resin mixed with shells I found on the beaches of Kauai. I added my own flair, even though I’d spent most of my life working with numbers and never thought I had a creative side. That curiosity turned into a passion, and eventually into a deep dive into jewelry making. From those early resin shell pieces to becoming a bench jeweler, it’s been an incredible journey.
There’s been so much growth—pushing my limits, investing time, and holding onto a “can do” attitude that made all of this possible. While the company has grown into what it is today, some things haven’t changed. I’m still the one making the jewelry, running the shop, taking the photos, answering the phone, and teaching the workshops. The passion and love behind it all have never changed, and never will.
Happy 8th birthday to the first company I ever started. Kauai Handmade will always be my baby.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the years. You are the pillars of this foundation, and I’m so appreciative for each and every one of you.
