This was originally going to be a custom job and then our client got a different dresser from us that was more suited to her daughter. I agreed to buy this one from her but after I got it, she messaged saying she still felt like it belonged in her home- so we agreed she had first dibs after refinishing! After its makeover, itā€™s back in the home it belonged in all along!

A dresser just as solid as it was 200 years ago.
I was a little nervous to refinish this beautiful piece- but I noticed it had been (a few times) previously and I just really wanted to see what it would tell me.
Well, this piece told me it was ready to be a chocolate brunette. And I believe she wears it well!

Sheā€™s now ready to grace another family with hopeful generational usage- DM me if youā€™d like to make her yours!

I couldnā€™t resist this circa mid-1800ā€™s dovetailed trunk, with all its patina and the blacksmith hardware it makes me wonder about its lifeā€™s history, what it was used for and the journeys it made and who for!

A great piece to add character to your home, for sure!

This is the part that eats up so much of the time! Itā€™s worth it because itā€™s these details that make a piece but it makes me wish I had a laser stripper so badly!

Hours of work in 60 seconds.. also, I started this video by saying ā€œcome with me while I edit this dresserā€.. my brain has been switching back and forth between refinishing furniture and editing wedding pictures over at but I guess that terminology works here too šŸ˜†
