Sarah Liller has always understood how a woman’s wardrobe contributes to her mystique and persona. Sarah’s mother spent Saturday afternoons sewing and watching classic films. “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, “Belle Du Jour”, and “North by Northwest” were favorites, and Sarah watched attentively as the actresses floated across the screen with a glamorous ease, a grace that only comes with a strong sense
of self. They conveyed a powerful femininity, and this seemed to be highlighted by the clothes they wore. They looked elegant and put together, and each one had a signature look and style all her own that reflected her personality. Sarah was born and raised in California and studied fashion design in New York at Parson’s School of Design. Having the sartorial perspective of both coasts, Sarah has melded east coast polish with west coast ease into her designs and personal style. Her aesthetic is defined by tailoring mixed with feminine softness. Sarah’s line “Sarah Liller, San Francisco” is carried at a number of Bay Area boutiques, and her tremendous success and great potential was recognized by her acceptance into the Fashion Incubator of San Francisco in 2013, a business development program that provides mentoring from the city’s top fashion professionals. As a recent alumni of the program, Sarah is now operating out of a design space in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. Sarah lives in the Mission District of San Francisco, along with her scientist fiance’ and an orange tabby named Cat Stevens. When not designing, she enjoys fancy cocktails with her girlfriends, funny cat pictures on the internet, lipstick, and shoes.
