The most common Tag-Sizing Mistake
The most common sizing mistake happens before the tape measure even comes out.
People measure a convenient section of the strap without first deciding exactly where they want the tag to sit.
Unfortunately, strap widths can change from one section to another.
Here’s the better way:
First, put on or set up the gear exactly as you’ll use it.
If it’s a BCD or PFD, wear it. If it’s a backpack, luggage handle, cooler or gear bag, position everything normally.
Next, choose the precise spot where you want the tag.
Consider visibility, comfort, buckles, seams and anything that might rub against it.
Only then should you measure the width of the strap at that exact location.
📏Measure the strap itself while it’s lying flat. Don’t wrap the measuring tape around it.
💥If your measurement is in between our standard sizes go with the smaller size because this determines how wide the design will be and you don't want the design wrapping around to the backside of the strap.
