UPDATE: In less than 24 hours, thanks to our amazing community, we were able to identify and locate the individuals we were looking for!
We are honestly overwhelmed with gratitude. The outpouring of support, kindness, messages, shares, and willingness to help has meant more to us than words could ever express.
As a small, family-owned business, we pour our hearts, our time, and so much of our lives into Laciann Collective. When something like this happens, it can be incredibly discouraging. But what happened over the last 24 hours reminded us exactly why we love being part of this community.
Kingman, you showed up for us. You stood behind a small business, looked out for your neighbors, and reminded us what it truly means to be a community.
We cannot express how much that means to our family and our entire team.
To every single person who shared our post, reached out, offered information, or simply sent words of encouragement — THANK YOU! ❤️
You turned a very disappointing situation into a beautiful reminder that there are so many good people in this world.

🚨 SHOPLIFTING ALERT — ATTENTION KINGMAN BUSINESS OWNERS 🚨
Unfortunately, Laciann Collective recently experienced a suspected shoplifting incident involving the two individuals pictured in this post who entered our boutique together.
These individuals were captured on our security cameras entering the store, using our dressing room, and abruptly leaving shortly afterward. Immediately following their departure, we discovered merchandise missing from our inventory.
We work incredibly hard to provide a beautiful shopping experience for our customers, and theft from a locally owned small business is absolutely unacceptable.
We are sharing their photographs to make fellow business owners aware of these suspects and encourage everyone in our community to remain vigilant.
We take theft seriously. Our security footage has been preserved, and individuals involved in stealing from our business are not welcome back.

🚨 EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION — LACIANN COLLECTIVE
Because there seems to be some confusion regarding our original post, we want to clarify exactly how we came to our conclusion.
Our concerns were never based simply on the fact that these individuals left our store quickly. They were based on our inventory records, surveillance footage, and the sequence of events documented during their visit.
Earlier that morning, I personally completed an inventory check of that entire section of our boutique, including the rack in question. I knew exactly what merchandise was there.
After reviewing our surveillance footage, we confirmed that no other customers who had visited the store that morning approached that particular rack. These two individuals were the only ones observed selecting merchandise from that area.
When they initially approached the skirts, they were also the only customers in the store.
Here is the sequence documented by our surveillance cameras:
One individual took a skirt into the fitting room while the other remained near the same rack. The second individual subsequently returned with two additional skirts and handed them to the person inside the fitting room.
During this sequence, another customer entered the store.
Three skirts went into the fitting room. Our footage does not show those three skirts being brought back out or returned to the sales floor.
After the two individuals left, our employee immediately checked the fitting room. It was empty of merchandise, with only one hanger remaining. Initially, our employees believed only one skirt was missing.
It was only after carefully reviewing the surveillance footage that we discovered two additional skirts had been handed into the fitting room. Further inventory verification confirmed that all three skirts were missing.
This was not an assumption made because someone left our store quickly. It was a conclusion reached after reviewing the surveillance footage, confirming our inventory, and establishing the sequence of events.
We understand the seriousness of publicly discussing suspected shoplifting. Our intention has never been to make false accusations or encourage harassment of anyone.
Our intention is to protect our small business, our employees, and other local businesses in our community.
As a locally owned boutique, missing merchandise directly affects our inventory, our ability to fulfill customer orders, and our livelihood.
We believe fellow business owners deserve to be aware of potential retail theft, and we will continue to take reasonable steps to protect our business and community.
