The Encounter Nestled in a cove near the Greenbelt walking trail is one of the most exciting women's clothing stores in the Tri-Cities.

It is called The Encounter and is located just off Eastman Road, in the hub of Kingsport's business sector. After more than 40 years in retail, The Encounter understands the fashion needs of women. Newcomers to the area are often surprised to find this New York-style boutique right here in this great mountain region. Immediately upon entering the store, designer clothing from professional to formal in every color imaginable can be found at every turn. From pageants to proms, business attire to black-tie affairs, The Encounter can provide you with an attire to make you look and feel your very best. The Encounter staff provides an atmosphere of warmth and understanding to women of all ages to be able to succeed in today's world with just the right look. In addition to the world of fashion found inside this designer store, The Encounter Modeling Troupe is widely known ----- a group of women and men who model and perform in support of community needs. You'll find this group of talented, concerned citizens in all career fields giving their time for such worthy efforts as food collection, cancer research fund raising, local high school and private school functions, senior citizens' needs, battered women's shelter, the arts community, and many more. To learn more about The Encounter Modeling Troup, call (423) 247-4806.
