Hey there everyone! We've put some jewelry creation on hold for the past few months as we plan and prepare for a long overdue honeymoon and wedding shoot abroad. With that said, I'm proud to present the completed and one of a kind custom ring for the love of my life.
The engagement ring that she's been wearing is 14K rose gold and a custom cut heart shape Moissanite, an environmentally and peace friendly diamond alternative with almost the same hardness as a diamond. Moissanite has incredible multicolored reflections. The band is like a flower and has leaves that propagate around the entire finger. I had to design some clever tapers on the leaves to keep the band comfortable for every day wear.
To pair a wedding band with the ring, I had to design geometry that would sit comfortably between the leaves while avoiding and accentuating the center engagement ring. I thought a symmetric design would work well and decided to make the wedding band out of gemstone shapes, which would intertwine with the leaves. I wanted her to feel like the royalty she is to me, and fashioned the band in the shape of a crown. Lastly I paired two 2mm Moissanite stones, one on each band, to reconnect with the engagement ring.
I think it looks like a shield:
To protect, to defend, to be forward
And with some natural aspects:
To be soft, to be natural, and to grow
