Due to the unexpected passing of my loving mother Joanne, I’ll be taking time away to be with my family and prepare to welcome my second daughter.
We said goodbye to her on Beltane, under the Flower Moon—a moment that feels both surreal and strangely meaningful as I’m so close to bringing new life into this world.
My mom is the sole reason this business exists. She taught me how to sew when I was young, and she built her own sewing school while raising four young children. She lived and breathed creativity, and passed that on to me (and so many others) in every way.
The very first Ennui collection was made entirely from her vintage fabric archive—years of textiles she had collected and saved. Those pieces came directly from her hands and her life’s work. If you own one of those early pieces, please know how much more special it is now.
I’m so sorry to miss Farm + Flea this Mother’s Day weekend—I was truly looking forward to it. Thank you for your understanding and for holding space for me and my family during this difficult time. I am looking forward to continuing this work and honoring my mama through every piece I handmake for you all.
