Hey Rewinders!

We are so incredibly happy to share that we at Rewind have officially started a non-profit of our brand Lovecass!

Lovecass is dedicated to funding free mental health programming and activities in the Hudson Valley. We are working to create even more accessible mental health resources for our local community, like Heart of Midtown and Go All In.

Follow along to see our upcoming events and fundraisers on our Instagram

You may recognize the name Lovecass as it is an original brand created at Rewind in memory of our daughter and sister, Cassidy. All of the items in the Lovecass collection are inspired by Cass: things she would have loved (mermaids, candles) and designs, art, and slogans that commemerate the way she lived her life.

With this nonprofit, we hope to expand Lovecass' reach to continue promoting what Cass loved, but also by directly supporting and educating others. Lovecass will be putting on events to inspire community, spark creativity, provide resources, and help show one another that dark times will not last forever.

If you are able to donate and suppport the work we are doing with Lovecass, it would be so greatly appreciated

HEART OF MIDTOWN 2025 is right around the corner!!

Hey Rewinders!! Join us for the 3rd Annual Music and Street Festival The Heart of Midtown: Go All In for Mental Health on Saturday, 9/20 from 12-8pm. Our goal is to raise awareness of the mental health crisis impacting our youth and to build a strong supportive community. The event will provide information on mental health, share resources and services available locally, and engage our youth through music and activities. The event is in collaboration with Radio Kingston, Keep Good Company Records, United We Om, Kingston Plaza + Herzogs, CDPHP, and Bardavon Presents.

HEART OF MIDTOWN INFO:

WHAT IS HEART OF MIDTOWN? An entirely free, inspiring day filled with information from dozens of mental health organizations, live music, art and personal development workshops, pickleball lessons, a dunk tank and a variety of wellness events all afternoon.

WHERE IS IT? On Field Court, the dead-end street around the corner from our thrift store Rewind Kingston at 612 Broadway in Midtown Kingston, NY.

WHEN IS IT? Saturday, September 20th from 12pm to 8pm.

WHO IS IT FOR? You, your friends, your family, a classmate, or anyone you know who could use some love and support with their mental health. This festival is everyone of all ages!

WHY? To raise money and awareness to support mental health in Kingston, NY. The festival will have a direct and immediate impact on our local community and young people.

HOW? Tickets are by-donation, with no minimum donation. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to raise awareness to the mental health crisis that faces our youth and provide information on the services and tools that exist in our community. We will have a variety of free art workshops, yoga with United We Om, pickleball courts & lessons and many other fun activities. We hope to get a lot of young people (teens & 20’s)to participate.

We will be giving out free: "self care kits,” a recycled tote locally screen printed that included mental health zines with resources, coping skills, and different breathing methods, positive postcards, a blank journal, and information about local organizations.

The event was created in memory of our late 19-year-old daughter/sister, Cassidy Flood, to raise awareness to the mental health crisis that faces our youth and provide an opportunity for the community to connect in memory of Cassidy’s spirit.

Rewind Kingston is proud to be a partner with the community we serve. To date, we have raised over $40,000 supporting organizations like United We Om and The Maya Gold Foundation. Funds raised will support youth mental health training by The Maya Gold Foundation as well as funding a new initiative of free community events at Rewind Kingston. We are raising money to create a nonprofit to expand our weekly “Study Hall,” a concept that evolved from our free weekly mixed media journaling to include more free after-school activities for both adults and young people like drawing, crocheting, songwriting, using clay, and writing workshops led by instructors. Free Pickleball Beginner lessons, also a part of our Wellness Wednesday, will begin again in the spring from 6-8pm on Wednesday evenings on Field Court.

SPONSORSHIP & WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES!!

If you or a business would like to get involved with Heart of Midtown, we are still accepting sponsors! A sponsorship can be financial, providing resources, or even hosting a workshop/table! HELLO REWINDERS!!

We hope everyone has been having a great start to their summer and is staying cool despite the heat. The solstice, the longest day of the year, just passed and I am sure with the general state of the world, most days are starting to feel long and heavy. With June being Pride month, the recent celebration of Juneteenth, and disability pride month on the horizon, though, we hope everyone is taking the time to be a part of their community in order to care for themselves and others
