We are trying to squeeze every last drop of fun out of summer! So another great road trip is on the books. This time home based in Roan Mnt, but explored upper east TN rivers and western NC lakes!! Could not ask for a better weekend.

Gotta brag on Alejandro this morning.
​Most people see the finished gear, but not the hours he spends behind the scenes bringing stuff back from the dead.
​That Patagonia jacket he’s wearing? Completely trashed and needed all new zippers, but he brought it back to life.
​And this Coleman stove was missing a liquid fuel tank. He rigged up a conversion part to run it on propane, stripped and repainted the whole thing, and hand-bent wire to remake the tiny clips for the side doors.
So grateful for everything he does to keep good equipment alive and out of the landfill!

Yall know we like to tinker and test out new gear. So we headed to Cherrokee Lake to camp and test out our new AC for the tent. Our hopes are to make summer camping more comfortable. We'll admit it, we glamp. It was a blast swimming in the lake, fishing and relaxing at camp. The ac worked great and we slept cool at night!

Not all our adventures are in the wilderness. Hung out with the potters at Mighty Mud pottery studio in south knox, seriously cool if you have not been. Next stop was a delicous cooking class with my mom in Maryville. Hope yall are having a good summer ☀️

Hands down one of the best road trips we've taken in a while. From whitewater rafting on the Ocoee to strolling through downtown Blue Ridge, eating way too many apple fried pies at Mercier Orchards, and lunch along the Hiwassee River, it was a blast. If you haven't done this loop yet, put it on your bucket list!
