I'm spot 89! This is my first time vending at PossumFest and I'm super excited!

Though I do have to admit I have a vivid memory of looking out the window one evening when I was little seeing a possum tail and screaming bloody murder. Now I think they are pretty cute! And I wanna hold one!

Imagine my surprise when my matching set design sold out so fast this passed festival season that I couldn't get them onto my site!

Now I have a restock and I couldn't be more thrilled with these colors! Thankfully I was able to get one color back in stock. (which is never guaranteed) So if you see a color you like grab it fast!

I do small intentional batches of clothing because Marigold and Marie is NOT fast fashion. My clothing and designs are meant to last in your wardrobe and provide you with magic for your next Renaissance Faire or a trip to the grocery store.

Beautiful clothing isn't meant to stay in your closet. It is meant to be worn! Plus these have pockets and you can wear the pieces together or separate. We love versatility in our clothing!

I have come to terms that growth for my brand is going to be slower. (Maybe I'll eat these words later) But the facts are Marigold and Marie is a slow fashion brand. Majority of the clothing I design and sell are made from upcycled saris/saree. Crafted with love and care by artisans in India. The process is slower because it is intentional. These beautiful pieces of fabric were once destined for the landfill but instead get to live on as new clothing. Each piece of fabric must be inspected for quality. Assembly of each piece of clothing is carefully paired together.

Textile waste is the 2nd leader in pollution in the world. My brand may be small but the I like to dream that if everyone found a brand that upcycled or if everyone thrifted just a little textile waste would be greatly reduced.

I've boot strapped my way to where I am now and if slow and intentional keeps me in the game I will continue to do so. With that being said I am slowly working on getting new beauties on the website! Having some hang ups but working through them!
