We had a late spring wedding, and I truly thought we were in the clear weather-wise. It was warm all week—but on the day of, this unexpected cold front rolled in. The wind was sharp, and by the time we got to the ceremony, I couldn’t stop shivering. I kept thinking, “I’m going to remember being freezing instead of anything else.” My planner handed me the wrap right before we started photos, and I almost cried. It was warm within seconds, soft against my skin, and somehow didn’t take away from the dress at all. I finally felt like myself again—able to laugh, breathe, actually enjoy everything we’d planned.

I packed it for our honeymoon on a whim, not thinking I’d use it much—but every single morning, there I was, wrapped up in it on the porch while we had coffee and watched the fog lift off the hills. It became this quiet little ritual.

Then the other day it stormed, and I pulled it out again—made tea, turned on the heat, and curled up by the window to go through our wedding album. It just brought everything back, in the best way. I didn’t expect something like this to become part of our memories, but I’m so glad it is.
