I just want to take a minute to share this. So many things I have gone through being a business owner over the years. I have seen all sides of people and to be honest, in retail or where $$ is in the mix, it’s usually the worst side of people that you see.
But one thing this business has brought me is a friend I may have never crossed paths with otherwise.
This woman has held me when I cried, cussed with me when I was mad and been a voice of calm in the midst of so much chaos. The one constant above it all, she has been my friend and she has always been her true self. No facade, no agenda, just Gina .
Since I started treatment, I have received a card in the mail from her consistently. I’m not saying texts and fb messages don’t matter, they do.
But to know that as busy as her world is, and trust me it is, she takes time to remember me and her small deed is something I look so forward to.
I’m not a good friend. I forget birthdays, I rarely know the right words to say and I’m not always available, so I don’t know how I got lucky enough to get her for a true friend, but I sure thank God for her!
