VALLEY APPAREL LLC· FEBRUARY 7, 2024·

Valley Apparel LLC is the continuation of an uninterrupted manufacturing tradition of excellence started in 1959. We are a small business concern with a manufacturing facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. Valley Apparel was founded upon the strong leadership skills of John Niethammer, who had almost 60 years of experience when he passed in September 20

20. Our heritage is deeply rooted in serving the US Military. This manufacturing heritage started soon after the Korean conflict, continued through Vietnam, in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, and in today’s many conflicts. Through this time, we have manufactured and delivered millions of apparel items to all branches of the Armed Forces. In its 20+ year existence, Valley Apparel has manufactured over 3 million garments for the DOD. Our emphasis is on seam-sealed and fire-resistant items, but we have made many types of outerwear, hoods, liners, and accessories. Is one of the USA’s premier suppliers of Outerwear to not only the US Military but to Militaries all over the world. Valley Apparel is also one of the largest domestic USA suppliers of Outerwear to foreign Militaries friendly and approved by the US government for export. Demand for authentic Valley Apparel products continues to grow internationally as we are a true, regular, approved, and current supplier to the Armed Forces.

We had a great time today at our annual Easter egg draw during our company gathering to celebrate Easter week! It’s always a fun tradition and a great opportunity to spend time together as a team.

It’s been especially awesome seeing so many of our team members proudly wearing their Valley shirts—thank you all for representing and showing your company pride!

Just a quick reminder that we will be closed on 4/3 in observance of Good Friday.

This March marks the start of our 26th year at Valley Apparel.

Looking back on the past 25 years, we are incredibly thankful. It has been a true blessing and an honor to serve our customers, support the mission, and carry on the legacy of those who came before us.

Today we wanted to show our appreciation to the people who make it all possible — our team — with a special commemorative t-shirt.

Since 2001, Valley Apparel has been Answering the Call, and Lord willing we look forward to continuing that mission for many more milestones to come.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. Here’s to the next chapter.

🎄 Annual Christmas Brunch 🎄

Today we gathered for our annual Christmas brunch—our first one in the new building! It was a great time coming together, sharing a meal, and reflecting on the many blessings we’ve experienced this year. We’re grateful for our team and the opportunity to celebrate the season together.

📅 Holiday Hours Update:
• Open Monday the 21st and Tuesday the 22nd during regular business hours
• Closed December 24–26 to celebrate the Christmas holiday

☀️ Summer Luncheon 2025 ☀️

Before we head into our two-week summer shutdown, our team gathered friday for our annual summer luncheon—a tradition we look forward to each year! It was a great time to pause, reflect, and celebrate the hard work and blessings of the first half of 2025 in our new location.

Our plant will be closed with limited office operations until we return to full activity on Monday, July 14.

We’re grateful for our team, our partners, and the opportunities ahead—and we look forward to many more gatherings like this one!

We observed our annual Easter tradition with a festive egg draw, where some attendees were fortunate enough to receive prizes. This gathering marked our first company event since moving into our new building. We appreciate the first 3 months and look forward to many more to come. As we approach the holy weekend, we wish you and your loved ones a blessed and joyous Easter. We will be closed tomorrow (4/18) to observe Good Friday.

After more than 60 years of combined dedication, we celebrate the remarkable careers of Kevin MacLeay and Rodney Strange as they prepare for retirement on February 1, 2025.

Kevin and Rodney have been invaluable members of our team, playing a vital role in the success of both Alpha Industries and Valley Apparel, LLC. Their commitment was evident once again when they postponed their well-earned retirement to assist with our transition to the new facility—a true testament to their loyalty and dedication.

Their contributions have left a lasting impact, carrying forward the vision of the late John Niethammer, who, in 2001, led the formation of Valley Apparel LLC to continue Alpha Industries' legacy in manufacturing.

We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done for this company and our team. Please join us in thanking Kevin and Rodney for their years of hard work and dedication. Wishing them both a well-deserved, happy, healthy, and blessed retirement!

Update!!!

❄️ ⛄️ Valley will resume operations on Monday 1/13. The parking lots and the entrance have been treated, the snow and ice are melting, and the major roads to the factory are in good shape.

We hope you all have enjoyed the snow days and had a great weekend. Continue to stay safe and warm! ⛄️ ❄️
