Two remarkable pieces of Featherweight history are coming to our Rare Faire! ✨

Singer Featherweight 221 · 1945 Blackside
Commissioned September 19, 1945, this Featherweight features rare black-oxide finishes on parts that normally have a bright finish, particularly its distinctive faceplate. These unusual details give “Blackside” Featherweights their name and collectible appeal. It has a rewound original 110-volt motor and is ready to sew right out of the case!

Singer Featherweight 221 · Rare Corduroy Insert
Commissioned December 5, 1939, this beauty stands out for its highly desirable Type II corduroy case lid insert, a special case feature from the late 1930s and early 1940s. Filled with notions and accessories, the insert remains a sought-after accompaniment to the Featherweight. With minimal wear, full servicing and a rewound original 110-volt motor, this machine is ready to sew!

⚡Tru-Wound Motor: Give your Featherweight a new heart while keeping an original Singer motor. We remove the old copper wire, rewind the armature by hand with fresh copper, then balance and test the motor on a real Featherweight. It arrives ready to install!⁠

🌟Foot Control Adapter: Enjoy the original pedal you love with a more comfortable place for your foot. The adapter cradles your pedal inside a hinged paddle with a wide, grippy surface. As you press, the paddle pushes the pedal’s small button for you, so you can keep sewing without holding your foot in one spot or resting it directly on a warm pedal.⁠

This 1947 Featherweight has been fully restored in pearl white to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary! Custom red, gold and blue decals weave American symbols into the classic 221 design, while gold-plated accents on select chrome parts add an extra touch of patriotic beauty🇺🇸

Singer Featherweight 221 · 1933 First-Run
Commissioned October 3, 1933, this is the 3,900th Featherweight produced! It arrived in poor condition and received hours of careful restoration, bringing it back to gloss black with gold decals while preserving its traditional look. With its original 110-volt motor rewound, it’s ready to sew or display right out of the case.

This machine comes with an extremely rare original Singer canvas case cover, designed to protect the case from scuffs and dings. With an opening for the handle and a zipper on each side, it’s a special piece of Featherweight history and one of only a handful discovered!
