Today’s post has nothing to do with coffee, or pastries, or paninis. But I do hope you’ll read it, and maybe it’ll resonate 🫶
Working day-in and day-out at a small town coffee shop gives me such a unique lens into the little moments of people’s days; good days, bad days, and “every day” days that maybe aren’t so remarkable. As the days of August creep to a close, there’s an anxious air of getting ready for schedules to change, squeezing in everything last minute and rushing to do all the things before some approaching deadline.
September is coming - school is starting; it’s inevitable. I see the flutter in your eye when you gesture for the biggest size cup or ask for an extra shot of espresso to help the never ending energy drain you’re feeling. I see so many kind folks pouring their all into their families, friends and this community. Trying to make sure every detail is remembered, nothing left forgotten; holding ourselves to a higher standard than we’d ever expect from anyone we love.
Today, I wanted to post to remind you that it’s okay to slow down; to do something for joy and not function. Find the whimsy even in the chaotic crazy busy. A perfect home isn’t spotlessly clean; it’s full of love and comfort. People don’t love you for how clean your home is or that your car is always spotless. 💖 you deserve kindness, warmth, and authenticity in this season and in every season! Try to be the friend to yourself that you are to others; allowing yourself grace. There is space for you and your uniqueness - on your good days, bad days, and especially on the relatively unremarkable days! You’ve got this!!

Wooowwow 🥹💕

This summer I went on a bit of a hiatus. Not intentionally—it just sort of… happened. 🫠

I’d be lying if I said this summer hasn’t been kicking my 🍑. I’ve been a little absent while navigating a new job, trying to keep up with life, riding the 🎢 that has been my mental health, and doing my best to be present when I can.

You know… life? 😅

And because of all of that, I haven’t had much energy left to pour back into this little business the way I’ve wanted to. 💕

But after our market was cancelled Sunday, I reopened the shop and soooo many of you showed up. 💛

Like, SO many of you. This is just one of four stacks of tees that I pulled for orders. 🥹🫶

Like, please bear with me while I pack orders this week because I was NOT expecting this outpouring of love and support after being gone for two months. 😅 And I don’t even know how to put into words how much it means to me. 🥹

Anywhooo, if you’re still reading this—whoever you are and wherever you are—thank you from the bottom of my toes to the tip of my nose. 🥹⚡️🪩💕

I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you.

It is never, ever lost on me that this little dream of mine doesn’t work without YOU. 💕💕 And somehow, even when I disappear for a little while, you’re still here.

We have canceled today's MARKET-on-MARKET ~ August Edition. We try our very best to avoid canceling events, but the patterns have become obvious that a storm is on the way (now ongoing).

It is with great regret that we make this call considering all of our vendors' hard work on perishables and all other artforms.
