Some families love Pyrex… and then there’s this sweet family who lives it. ❤️
One of our sweetest customers recently shared something that made us want to share. This sweet mama got a tattoo of the iconic Pyrex Friendship pattern. Not just because it’s a beautiful design (though it absolutely is), but because it means something to her. The meaning goes beyond a bowl, pattern, or a “thing”.
The Friendship pattern, first released in 1971, features cheery red birds and bright florals — symbols of joy, warmth, and togetherness. At the time, the design represented love between friends, the kind of enduring bond that gets passed down through generations — much like the dishes themselves which are often passed around amongst families and friends.
For this mama, it’s more than a nostalgic design. It’s a reminder of Sunday dinners, shared recipes, and teaching her two little girls the thrill of the hunt — how to spot a treasure, appreciate the past, and be patient and curious along the way. Her family, rooted in strong Christian values and farm life, embraces the beauty of simple things and the stories they carry. For Brooklyn, Emmanuel and their two sweet girls, it’s a quality of life and the focus on their family that is the priority. Hunting for and collecting Pyrex is a simple and meaningful way they do life together.
When we say we love sharing this passion with our customers, this is exactly what we mean. It’s not just glassware — it’s connection, legacy, and love. This family has touched us. We light up when we see them, becaue of shared passions that started with Pyrex and now mean much more
