I've been quilting these wool beauties for Tonya Clayton-McElree for a while now. She has finally hooked me on wool applique. I resisted for as long as I could.... Stay away from her, she is an enabler. Wool and Lillies. Joy Watkins

I am finishing up this adorable quilt for my client. The fabrics are so cute!! Nursery Rhymes like Cat with the Fiddle, Old Lady who lived in a Shoe... it will be going to live in Iowa with my client's Aunt. Minkie on the back just like the Uncle's plaid quilt. His and hers for the cold Iowa Winter.

I've been awake since 3:30 am. I guess I didn't work hard enough yesterday. So, I might as well finish this client's quilt. This one goes to a gentleman in Iowa. Fun to know the story about why quilts were made and the special people who made them. This one has beautiful, soft flannels and a minky backing. Very heavy for those cold Iowa winters.
