Thankful Thursday!! 13 years ago I walked into this plant as a contractor $8 per hour 🥹 but it was first shift and 5 mins from my home. My job had shut down and laid us off. I had taken 6 months off to enroll back in school and recover from a surgery. Well school checks wasn’t cutting it and I had to go back to work. I had 3 kids, rent, car note, insurance, everything. I had to to what I had to do. I got to know my job, I got to know people on the other shifts, started working overtime on both 2nd & 3rd shifts to make end meet. I was hired in less than a year. I went from contractor, new hire, T1 T2 T3 T4 now A&T salary working for the engineering group running trials. YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE!!!

As a contractor we weren’t allowed to go to the front break room due to some liability laws the previous owners had (nothing against my company it was just rules at the time). I was out of coffee this morning at home & I just poured up a cup of coffee up front where my desk is. YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE!!!! Yea it may be small money at first or a lower position but YOU START you never know where it can land you! I never in a million years imagined I would have come this far.. JUST START!! Stay focused & keep grinding!

Have a blessed day! Don’t let anything distract you! Don’t let social media or your surroundings trick you into thinking your “start” can’t turn into something great!! Don’t let your “friends” or social media trick you into thinking your “start” isn’t enough! Just do it!

Due to weather conditions we’ve changed the back to school drive to a mobile school drive! On Monday August 1st around 4pm we’ll be driving around passing out backpacks filled with school supplies. If you know a specific neighborhood that could use some goods! Let us know!! 😁
